Kauaeranga Valley Christian Camp is an ideal venue for small or large groups of all ages. We have lots of activities to fill your spare time, with playgrounds and playing fields for fierce competition or just to burn off surplus energy.

Scare the young ones, or those who are young at heart, with our Burma Trail where you never know what is just around the corner.

Bonfires, cookouts and other activities can be arranged.

If the weather is not conducive to outdoor activities we can help you modify your programme to take advantage of the event centre facilities.

If you are looking for a venue for a conference or training session we suggest you consider the facilities at Kauaeranga Valley Christian Camp, where the environment is conducive to learning, sharing  and networking.

We will tailor a package to suit your organisation, which can include catering and/or accommodation. There are several areas for break-out groups and the lounge, which seats 50-60 is well suited to presentations. There is a large screen and we have a data show that can be hired for a daily rate. The dining room also offers another conference or display area, as does the mezzanine floor in the Events Centre. The gym itself can seat larger numbers and the white boards etc can be moved there to suit your needs.

Only 11/2 hours from both Auckland and Hamilton airports Kauaeranga Valley Christian Camp can cater for your needs. There are plenty of local attractions to visit and we are happy to help you book off camp activities, such as fishing at the mussel farms. Catch snapper for your tea!

Or take a drive further up the valley and vist the DOC Visitors Centre, go on a walk or swim at Hoffmanns pool.

Then return to camp and enjoy meals that have been planned and prepared especially for you and your family.

Kauaeranga Valley Christian Camp can accommodate and support your school camp programme. Our fully catered facility allows teachers to focus on the children and the activities the school has planned.
 
We are surrounded by history, nature and adventrure opportunities. We work with outdoor adventure organisations and together can tailor a programme that can abseiling, mountain biking, tramping, climbing wall, horse trekking and kayaking.

If you are a team travelling to tournaments or events in the Hauraki / Coromandel area we are happy to accommodate you. You will find our prices competitive and our staff flexible to work in with your scheduled games. You will be provided with nourishing meals, prepared and ready for you when you specify. Packed lunches are available for those days when you are unable to return to camp for meals.

Our large gymnasium as well as sports fields are available for your practise sessions or entertainment.

We have a data show and whiteboards available for your use to enhance your training sessions.

The gymnasium is also available for hire should you require a local venue for training on a regular basis.

The camp is at Booms Flat DOC camp-ground and comprises 2 marquees, one for the kitchen, the other as a dining or activity area. There are 4 large 10 man tents but you can bring your own if your group needs more sleeping accommodation. The lights, water pump and chiller are powered by the generator.

Book early if you want the dates that suit your plans.

The facilities are available from Friday afternoon at 16.00 and neeed to be vacated by Sunday 15.00.

The Valley Experience is set up on the Department of Conservation (DOC) site which is situated at Booms Flat. Booms Flat is situated further up Kauaeraga Valley Road and is a great venue for an outdoor experience.

Campout (DOC Remote camp sites dependent on availability):

• Two marquees - For kitchen & dining rooms

• Tents for up to 40

• Seating and tables for up to 80 people

• Water pumps, filters and storage

• Petrol Generator

• Battery operated lamps

Catering:

Can be catered by our experienced staff and is included in the price quoted. All dietary needs (vegetarian, gluten free, diabetics, etc) will be catered for if sufficient notice has been given prior to your camp commencing. Halal meat needs to be provided by campers themselves, but staff can store and cook.

Please liase with the managers if you would prefer self-catering.

It is recommended that groups bring their own homebaking and/or biscuits (barcode baking is allowed) for morning and afternoon teas, as well as supper.

Individuals must supply their own cutlery, crockery, cup and tea towel (or disposable . Dishwashing facilities are provided.
