THE VISION
We here at Kauaeranga Valley Christian Camp invite you to share in our vision for our camp. After reading the following, we hope you will have a better appreciation of where we are coming from and what we believe. A statement of faith is available on request.
MISSION STATEMENT:
To show that God is real to campers as they relax and enjoy His creation in the beautiful Kauaeranga Valley.
STATEMENT OF PURPOSE:
To see children and adults personally experience the life changing results of the good news of Jesus Christ, and grow in spiritual knowledge and understanding as they share in christian hospitality, love and care, combined with educational, recreational and sporting endeavour.
OBJECTIVES:
* To work as a team under God, using our combined skills and resources.
* To present Jesus Christ in a friendly manner by our words and example.
* To provide good healthy meals that satisfy camper's physical needs and a programme that caters for their requirements.
* To manage camp effectively as good stewards of that which God has entrusted to us.
* To encourage campers to grow in their knowledge and trust of God and to show high standards of ethics and morality.
* To present camp as a home away from home with neat and tidy physical appearance, well kept lawns, garden and surroundings.
* As finances allow, to steadily upgrade our facilities while at all times ensuring high standards of maintenance and having regard for our environment.
* To train suitable young people as leaders.
* To promote camp widely so that others may come and enjoy it with us.
